Local Grants Programme for local organisations and local and national media outlets, launched by EU and implemented by API
The Independent Press Association (API) announces the European Union's initiative on the second call of the Local Grants Programme launched within the Action "Citizens Empowerment in the Republic of Moldova", in which local non-governmental media organizations and local and national media institutions can participate.
Through the Local Grants Program, financial support will be provided to local civil society organizations (CSOs) and local and national media institutions in the North, South, Center and ATU Gagauzia regions, for carrying out information, awareness and awareness actions. citizens on relevant issues related to water supply and sewerage, solid waste management, energy efficiency in public buildings, environmental protection and other related issues related to the provision of quality public services, including in the context of the pandemic caused by COVID-19.
The total amount available for this grant competition is 89,650 Euros. Proposals with an estimated value of 10,000 Euros and 15,000 Euros will be accepted.
The deadline for submitting project proposals is November 30, 2020, at 18:00.
The conditions for participation in the grant competition for CSOs and media institutions in the North, South, Center and ATU Gagauzia regions are specified in the Applicant's Guide available on the Eu4civilsociety.md website in Romanian and Russian.
For those interested in the Local Grants Programme, API will organize an online information session on November 18, 2020 (Zoom Platform). The Local Grants Programme is launched on the basis of the Single Support Framework of the European Union (EU), to the Republic of Moldova (2017-2020) under the European Neighborhood Instrument, through the EU funded Action "Citizens’ empowerement in the Republic of Moldova" (2019-2021), which is implemented by the German Development Coopration through GIZ.
