Hundreds of children in the country received school supplies as a gift from the European Union

On the eve of the new school year, about 600 primary school students from disadvantaged categories received school supplies from the European Union. In this way, symbolic help was offered to families for whom the preparation of children for school is a considerable financial effort.

The materials were distributed by GIZ representatives in all eight schools benefiting from investment projects for energy efficiency of buildings, funded by the European Union and implemented within the project "Modernisation of local public services in the Republic of Moldova".

The sets of supplies composed of backpacks, water bottles, reusable protection masks, school agendas, pens, and reflectors, were purchased and distributed within the project "Citizens’ Empowerment in the Republic of Moldova". The action, funded by the European Union and implemented by the German Development Cooperation through GIZ in the project "Modernisation of local public services in the Republic of Moldova", supports civil society organizations to ensure citizen participation in decision-making processes at local and regional level.
